As we head into fall, there’s nothing nicer than having a clean car to enjoy along with the change of season. We put a lot into making our cars look nice, from washing and waxing, to deep cleaning our interiors. It can be really difficult to keep the insides of our cars clean, but here are a few ideas that should help you make it last.
Muffin tin liners are great for muffins and cupcakes, but did you know that they are also great for helping you keep your cup holders clean? They can catch most of the debris that mysteriously (and not so mysteriously!) ends up creating a mess. Not only that, but they are also super easy to change out and are not costly.
Fall weather brings more rain. One way to help keep your windshield wipers streak free is to quickly douse them with rubbing alcohol. This will greatly help to keep your windshield clear and easy to see through because it will help your wipers effectively do their job. You’ll want to use some windex on the inside of your windshield and windows to make sure you can see from the inside out!
Clean vents help make for a clean cabin. You can use a small foam paint brush, or even the regular kind, to reach into those small spaces and remove dust. They are great for reaching into your vents. One other way to really get in there is to use compressed air to really blast out the dust, debris, and other allergens. Make sure you regularly change out your cabin’s air filter too to maximize the clean.
Floor mats take a beating. While they help with keeping your shoes clean, they can get extremely dirty. One way to help keep them cleaner longer is to spray them with stain-resisting product you can find in your laundry detergent aisle at your friendly neighborhood grocery store if it’s not already hanging out in your laundry room.
One more culprit of dirt in your car is your pet. You are probably already quite aware of this fact! Aside from dirt, the shedding can be a bit overwhelming and very difficult to remove the finer hairs from your upholstery. The trick to getting all the pet hair out is to spray the area with water to loosen the hair up and then follow up with using a squeegee to wipe the hair away. You will be surprised and just how much hair will stick to the squeegee and come out without a fight.
